Puppet Palace and other stuff

I'm going to hit some highlights that we haven't posted about and catch everyone up to date. While in Changchun we went to the Emperor's palace who is also known as the Puppet Emperor. If you have watched the movie The Last Emperor, it was his palace. Some of the buildings were built by the Russians and some by the Japanese. We took a lot of pictures that will probably be most appreciated by Doris. The guy was called the Puppet Emperor because he was a puppet of the Japanese. It was an interesting tour and good to get some history from Caleb's hometown.

After the tour, Echo took us to a fabulous restaurant for lunch. I finally got my Peking duck and it was yummy. We ate like kings. It is probably the best food we have had in China. They also prepared some excellent sweet and sour fish.

The rest of that day was down time. Ted stayed in the hotel with the boys while I played human frogger and went to the Wal Mart.

Now I think you are up to date (not including today). The internet doesn't seem as reliable here but we will do our best to keep you updated.
