Vacation Day 5

Day 5... I think. I've sort of lost track of time and the date

We had nothing "on the books" for today other than we MIGHT go back into Green Bay in an attempt to witness a Packers practice, which are free to the public.  When we stopped there the other day, Lambeau Field that is, we asked what time the practice was going to be, as we had check the fancy hi-tech world wide interweb prior to leaving Pleasant Hill and it said 7pm, but for whatever reason, I asked them at the checkouts.  The lady looked in the book and said it was going to be held at 11:15am!  Well, that's quite a difference.

The fella there told me that we would need to get there EARLY if you want in.  Ugh.

One cool thing the Packers do is have local kids come with their bicycles and then the players ride their bicycles across the street and to the practice facility, most of the time with the kids on the back.  It's just a way to involve the local community, and in case you've never been to Green Bay, they are SERIOUS about their football team!

Turns out we didn't go and that's okay.  Robby and Caleb were having a blast at the campground and didn't seem to want to go.

So, as a result, we hung around the campground all day long and it was fantastic!

I am not even kidding in the tiniest little bit when I say that, collectively thru 3 different swimming sessions, Robby spent 6+ hours in the pool!!!

Not only that, but he was HOT when it was time to get out because of an approaching storm, the pool closing and supper being ready...   Crazy kid.

Here's a few shots of the campground. It doesn't do it justice, but it'll give you an idea of why kids like it.
.
THat's the main building there on the left.  There's a full arcade in there, some different food stuffs, free coffee, a small general store and so on.  There are many picnic tables under that awning and thats where they do the kids craft projects such as the other day when the boys built birdie feeders.  The pool is just behind the awning.  There are two different swingsets/jungle gym type things, huge earth mover sized tires to climb on, a fishing pond just beyond the big tree in the middle of the photo and the tire swing that they could not get enough of!

Obviously, the pool.  That's Robby and two girls in there while this photo was snapped.

Caleb on the aforementioned tire swing.

The tractor and "cow" wagon that they give rides around the campground with on Saturday nights.

Self explanatory...

Our campsite.

Different angle.

This was me basically turning around from where I was standing in the photo above this one.
This is standing at the front bumper of our van.  Why?  Because that was the campsite that we had two years ago this week when we camped at Apple Creek the first time.
