Coffee n' Drivin'... Again

I had Robby drive us downtown on a Saturday morning so we could climb the steps of the Nationwide parking ramp and then go try a new coffee place.

We did this several weeks back which I documented here.  That coffee joint,  Horizon Line, left us both mildly disappointed. Not because of the coffee, but because of the vibe of the place.  We simply didn't fit in.  I was the oldest person in the place BY FAR!!!  Everybody else in there could have been my son or daughter.  It was crazy loud too.

This time we went to Zanzibar's Coffee Adventure.

Much more of our kind of place!  The coffee was outstanding and I even bought a bag of beans from them.  We could have had breakfast too as neither of us had eaten anything, but we didn't...

However, while we were parking our van directly across the street from Zanzibar, the owner of Uncle Wendells BBQ was putting out the open sign for the day.  I made a mental note of that.

Not wanting his picture to be taken...

I took this one and he just slowly glanced up and said, "You're really, really bad at this.".  LOL!

When we were finishing up our coffee, I made a comment, joking really, that we should stop at Uncle Wendell's before we head home and grab a bite to eat since it was already 11:30.  So we did.  We got the 3 chicken wings with a side of coleslaw  to just split it.  We the dude brought the food out, he had already split it and gave us each two wings and a cup of some really good slaw!  The wings were amazing too so the fellas got a really nice tip!
