Chive On, Bruh...

I have grass seed growing and the Chives are sprouting on March 7th, 2021.  This is an obvious sign of the evil global warming that Al Gorical had warned of!!!   We're all friggin' doomed!!!  Or maybe, we have more of a widespread area of the planet that can grow edible delights for an increasing number of humans which would be determined by God's plan and not politicians.  Just maybe...

To Shoe or Not To Shoe

Hey kids, wear the proper shoes when you're out walking!

190 Pounds of Hideousness...

2004.  I had recently had hair down to near my belt.  I had it cut off about shoulder length to donate to Locks Of Love, who make wigs for kids with cancer.  I lived with that haircut for a while and I was definitely a undeniably sexy fella, but the new fro required more maintenence than I was willing to maintain.  So, we bought a nice Wahl hair clipper set and my lovely bride gave me a freshly crafted cut of hair that was about 1/8 of inch long.  We were heading to Florida soon enough and I decided to just shave me head for the first of two times.  The other thing that is interesting here is that Lesley is pregnant with Robby in this shot, and I weigh about 190 pounds.  I'm still revolting, but I plan to get down near that weight again before our summer vacation in June.

Pickin' Rocks

When I was just a wee lad, pickin' rocks meant going up to a relatives farm and picking up the rocks that reached the surface during the most recent winter.  It was hard work but work that demanded you full, undivided attention because if you missed 1 or more, you could cause untold dollar damages to expensive equipment.  In our current world, it means crushed rock that was removed from the driveway during winter, either from the snowblower or a blade pushing the snow out of the way.  The convenience of a blade is a wonderful thing that causes party's and much celebration upon the arrival of the wet nemesis.  However, when the evil melts away, you're faced with the septic system of winter where all of the garbage that people seem unfit to put into the proper rececpticles and the rock that went askew during the cold season need to be dealt with.  Caleb is out dealing with the latter today as he is wont to earn money for his own desires.

Couple of Sunsets from Recent Walks

This one was from 03/04/2021 while walking in the area of Doanes Park.

This was from tonight, 03/05/2021, out at Yellowbanks State Park, which I pretty much had all to myself and the critters that were about.

It's Official, He Can Drive On His Own

I took Rob to get his drivers license on Wednesday.  They didn't recognize our appointment and we had to jump thru some hoops, but the boy got it yesterday and is out on his own tonight meeting his girlfriends family for dinner at a Mexican restaurant.  Am I nervous?  A little, but he's a good driver, has good judgement and good logic, so he makes it easier on an old man.

Happy 16th Birthday to Robert!!!

Happy birthday to the boy who first made us parents!  He isn't always easy, but I bet we aren't either from his perspective.  He is certainly loved!

The cake had those tricky candles that re-light after you blow them out.  I'm not sure by his reaction if he knew that those existed!
