When I was just a wee lad, pickin' rocks meant going up to a relatives farm and picking up the rocks that reached the surface during the most recent winter. It was hard work but work that demanded you full, undivided attention because if you missed 1 or more, you could cause untold dollar damages to expensive equipment. In our current world, it means crushed rock that was removed from the driveway during winter, either from the snowblower or a blade pushing the snow out of the way. The convenience of a blade is a wonderful thing that causes party's and much celebration upon the arrival of the wet nemesis. However, when the evil melts away, you're faced with the septic system of winter where all of the garbage that people seem unfit to put into the proper rececpticles and the rock that went askew during the cold season need to be dealt with. Caleb is out dealing with the latter today as he is wont to earn money for his own desires. |
