Jamaica - Part 3 - Day 1

Day 1. Didn't have any idea of what to expect, which can be scary and exciting all at once! I loved the bus ride thru Jamaica to see the local culture, but was also very happy to be off of the bus at the resort!

Once you're there, you go into the main office, sign papers and get your wrist band that tells everyone where you belong, it's also the key to your room and whatever else.

This is in the main office and I couldn't resist taking a pic of this hanging off of the ceiling!  If that's not a sphincter, I don't know what it is...

Whoa... there it is!  My view for the next 5 days!

Puppies!!!

My bride at sunset on day 1.

OMG!!

The view from the martini bar...  not sure if that's what it's really called but we had a crap ton of martinis up there, so that's what it was for us!  That buffet is where breakfast was, should you choose to eat breakfast.

Another view of the same.

Buddy and I on the beach after everyone else had retired for the evening!  We hit one more bar before calling it a night and me getting lost as hell trying to figure out where our room was!

Jamaica - Part 2 - Travel, The Bus Ride

After we left the airport, we loaded onto a bus in one of the most organized fashions that I've ever seen.  Nothing fancy.  Not computers.  Just humans taking care of other humans and their belongings.  They sorted our luggage by word-of-mouth and had it loaded onto the appropriate bus (I think) sorted by the resorts that everyone was going to.

After that?  A two hour bus ride to travel about 46 miles to get to our resort.  I didn't care because I love looking at local culture!

This post is just that.  Pictures along the way to our resort to see how a small fraction of people live in Jamaica.  I have nothing more to say, than just enjoy the pics.

We'll get to the beach stuff in the next few posts.
