We finally had a meet at Waukee Northwest, during a somewhat cold, windy, and occasionally rainy day. Not ideal, but at least we had one!
Then last Saturday, we had the Jr. High State track meet in Ankeny. It was a nice, hot & dry day complete with sunburns and lots of water!
So this past Thursday night, Southeast Polk hosted our home meet and quite frankly, I along with several other's were surprised with how many teams were there!
I sat in the bleachers for just a few minutes shy of 4 hours with the sun burning the other side (the back) of my neck and head!
Happy to say, SEP won the meet 161 - 87 (over second place) so at least we got to end the season on a high note for these lads who will be high school Freshman the next time they compete.
One of his buddies who decided the bench wasn't good enough! lol I took this picture since I knew Caleb would think it was funny. He did not let me down. |
The only action shot that I got. Caleb, with his arm back, taking the baton hand-off from Abraham. |
That's a wrap for sports until football season starts!
